Quaker Library

The Forest of Dean Quaker library is one of the ‘shops’ on the High Street of Newnham on Severn. There are over a thousand books available to borrow, for up to two months.

We cover a broad range of perspectives, not just the views of Quakers.

Anyone wishing to live a more spiritual or environmentally aware life will find books to explore here. You are welcome to browse, borrow or just chat with the librarian on duty. The library is open to all.

The religious sections cover Quakers, the Bible, progressive Christianity, world faiths and interfaith connections. There is a large section on spiritual pathways, not necessarily religious. Other subjects include climate change, peace studies, prayer, poetry, culture and science.
